I agree; we should use these moments to educate not only our young blacks, but all races that hate isn&#039;t a way that is productive and only limits us &quot;all&quot; from growth as a world.</description>

However, we should not abolish study in school of literary works that use the word--for example, Mark Twain&#039;s HUCKLEBERRY FIN.   Class discussion could and should make clear that these words, totally unacceptable today, were commonly used in the past, that they were emblematic of deeply entrenched prejudices and discriminatory practices.  School reading assignments and holdings in school libraries should NEVER be censored but should instead be used to foster &quot;teachable moments.&quot;</description>
